100Cr6 material was ramped down and dwelled over a period of 48hrs. Different specimens were extracted over the dwell period. The specimens were analysed for the appearence and modifcation of the secondary carbides over time. This project was sponsored by INOS – an innovation platform in the east of Switzerland – and the client with whom the project was carried out achieved new insights in material science and how he can improve 100Cr6 material properties for his clients.
